Holy Night

Last night I dreamed about the hours,
of our Saviors birth.
The howling winds grew still….
there was silence on the earth.

In the darkness of a moonless sky,
a glorious, sacred star appeared.
Its radiant glow announced,
that our Savior’s birth was near.

This holy star marked the beginning,
of a brand new way of life.
This child named Jesus,
would take away our sin and strife.

In the quiet stillness of the night,
our Lord, Jesus Christ was born.
He would take away our sins,
and allow us to be reborn.

God’s most precious gift of all,
was given to the world that night.
The earth was now filled,
with His mercy and His Light.

Mary closed her eyes in silent prayer,
she held him close to her.
Wise men brought Him gifts of gold,
frankincense and myrrh.

The shepherds came to see Him;
they knelt and praised His name.
The angel had shared with them,
the reason that He came.

Then all of Heaven rejoiced,
and I could hear the angels sing.
Jesus Christ is born,
He is the Savior and the King.
